Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how Just Write Off ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our mobile application.

1. Information We Collect

To provide our receipt-scanning and tax-categorization services, we collect the following types of information:

• Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and a secure password.
• Camera and Photo Library Data: We request access to your device's camera and photo library strictly so you can scan or upload receipts and invoices.
• Financial Data (Receipts): We extract and store the text, numbers, and merchant information from the receipts you upload to calculate your tax deductions.
• Purchase History: If you subscribe to our Pro tiers, your payment is processed directly by Apple. We do not see or store your credit card information, but we do keep a record of your subscription status.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the data we collect solely to provide and improve the Just Write Off experience:

• To process your receipts using Artificial Intelligence (OCR) to extract line items, totals, and suggest tax categories.
• To store your receipt images securely in the cloud so you have a digital backup for tax audit purposes.
• To manage your subscription and provide customer support.

3. Third-Party Services We Use

We do not sell your personal data to advertisers. However, we use trusted third-party services to make the app work. By using Just Write Off, your data is processed by:

• Google Gemini: To provide automated receipt scanning, we transmit your receipt data to Google Gemini via secure enterprise API endpoints. Google acts strictly as a data processor with a Zero-Data Retention policy. Your receipt data is never stored by Google and is NEVER used to train Google's AI models. Explicit in-app consent is obtained from you prior to any data transmission.
• Supabase: We use Supabase as our secure cloud database to store your user account, receipt data, and receipt images.
• RevenueCat & Apple: We use RevenueCat and Apple's In-App Purchase system to manage subscriptions securely.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is encrypted and stored securely in our cloud database. While we use industry-standard security measures to protect your financial records and receipt images, no system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
